Santa Barbara Auto Stereo and Wireless has diversified over the years.

It all started in 1967 when Thomas Blatt came to Santa Barbara and opened Muntz Car Stereo, which subsequently was renamed Santa Barbara Auto Stereo and Mobile Electronics Center, focusing on installing 4-track music cassette players for vehicles which was the first store of its kind.

In 1982 I displayed my innovative 12 ft Home Satellite Television Antenna on that property. Six years later bought the business and Santa Barbara Auto Stereo and Wireless was born.

1988 was the first year that CD players were manufactured for vehicles. It was also the first year that Cellular Service was introduced to Santa Barbara, and it was the beginning of a Home Satellite Television Service called DirecTV. We were on the ground floor for all of it, and continue to be on the cutting edge of these technologies.

Currently, Driver Safety Products, Apple Carplay and Android Auto, have become staples that drive our industry. In 2021 we became an authorized representative for Frontier Fiber Optic Internet service for both homes and businesses and I became a Verizon Wireless Small Business Specialist (SMB) managing over 100 Verizon Wireless accounts for local Santa Barbara businesses. Presently I continue to represent DirecTV with its two new products called DirecTV Internet TV (Gemini) and DirecTV Satellite.
